JGBS: Monday provided a sedate start to the week for JGBs, which largely ignored
the early, broad, risk off flows, although longer dated paper eased as global
markets regained some poise, aided by the Chinese equity rally, which in turn
added some modest weight to futures, with the curve finishing a little steeper
on the day as a result.
- Focus this week turns to BOJ Rinban operations (Wednesday & Friday), a
liquidity enhancement auction for 5-15.5 Year paper (later today) & 2-Year
supply (Thursday). It is also worth noting that the BOJ will discuss its Rinban
operations with market participants today.
