More Bill Upsizing

Following on from the increases to 4-/8-/17-week bill sizes announced earlier this week, Treasury has followed up with increases to the 6-week, 13-week, 26-week, and 52-week bills (all settling Oct 5):

  • 6-week: Up $5B to $65B (Oct 3 auction)
  • 13-week: Up $2B to $71B (Oct 2 auction)
  • 26-week: Up $2B to $64B (Oct 2 auction)
  • 52-week: Up $2B to $44B (Oct 3 auction)

These will be the largest auction sizes yet for each of the three longer-dated bills - see chart.

  • Wrightson ICAP, anticipating today's announcement write that this brings the cumulative increase in the supply of bills since the beginning of June to $1.374trn.
