More Russian tankers head for Asia

Russia’s seaborne crude exports from its western ports to Asian countries were 1mbpd higher last week according to vessel tracking and port data.

  • Tankers were mainly heading to India and China
  • Overall crude shipments were virtually unchanged in the week to May 13
  • A total of 35 tankers loaded about 24.9 million barrels from Russian export terminals, according to Bloomberg.
  • Average seaborne crude flows were 3.55mbpd, down by less than 0.5% from 3.56mbpd the previous week
