Moving in the red, Pound extends gains

  • The Dollar was closer to flat overnight and going into the European Cash Govie open, at both ends saw the Kiwi leading by just 0.15% and the NOK down by just 0.11%.
  • Post the Cash open, the Kiwi still leads, up 0.18%, but the Dollar is starting to move in the red in G10s, all in small.
  • After seeing another volatile 223 pips range on Friday and 184 pips range Yesterday, the USDJPY, similar to Tnotes is right back to where it was exchanging hands pre NFP, was circa 143.06.
  • Despite some of the Volatile sessions, the Yen is the best performer for the 5 past days, up 1.54%, as Investors look forward to the first Fed cut.
  • The Pound initially gained 8 pips on the UK Employment data, but is finding another bid now, post the Sonia open, testing session high against the USD, EUR, JPY.
  • In terms of Technical, resistance in Cable will be at 1.3143 High Sep 9.
