NASDAQ Leads E-Mini Bid After Thursday’s Tech Earnings

EQUITIES

Blowout EPS in Amazon’s latest quarterly earnings report (as well as price hikes for the core Prime product coming down the line) and firmer than expected headline metrics from Snapchat have allowed the NASDAQ 100 e-mini futures contract to add ~2.0% vs. settlement levels (the index lost ~4.2% in cash trade on Thursday in the wake of disappointing Meta & Spotify earnings & forecasts). Note that the NASDAQ 100 contract is operating around late NY levels, as are the S&P 500 & DJIA contracts, which print +1.1% & +0.6% respectively (owing to relative sensitivity to the tech space).
