New Poll Suggests Biden Approval Strengthening

WHITE HOUSE

An IBD report has suggested that President Biden’s approval rating is showing signs of recovery after a long period of stagnation.

  • According to IBD: ‘The recovery of Biden's approval rating has come principally among Democrats, who now back his job performance 76%-12%. That compares to 74%-15% in March and 66%-21% in February.’
  • The FiveThirtyEight daily presidential approval tracker has yet to show an uptick in approval but if the IDB report is accurate the trend line should turn upwards next week.
  • With Congress in recess, the White House has accelerated attempts to address voter concerns with a series of measures to tackle rising fuel prices, inflation, and supply chains. This drive may also help improve Biden's approval rating.
