Norway Strike to Impact Exports

Planned industrial strike action by Norwegian Organisation of Managers and Executives (Lederne) could reduce Norwegian gas exports by 13%.

  • Gudrun, Oseberg South and Oseberg East will have to shut with 74 members on strike on 5th June. An extension to 117 members will shut the Heidrun, Aasta Hansteen, Kristin and Tyrihans fields on 6th June.
  • The lost daily output will be 130kbpd of oil and 292kbpd oil equivalent for gas which is approximately 13% of Norwegian gas output.
  • Lederne is calling a strike after members rejected the settlement for the offshore collective pay agreements.
