AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: Not much to note for the space in Sydney trade, with YM -1.0 and
XM -2.0, after the contracts held very tight ranges in SYCOM hours. Focus
continues to fall on the potential for enforcement of the RBA's ~0.25% target
for 3-Year ACGB yields, with RBA Governor Lowe seemingly cooling exp. re: such a
move on Tuesday. One bidder hoovered up all of the A$2.0bn of ACGB 2.75% 21 Nov
'29 that was on offer at auction. It looks like they paid some 0.6bp through the
prevailing ask yield at the time of auction (using BBG prices).
- QPH Finance launched 7- & 10.5-Year A$ paper, while UBS launched 3-Year
floating & 5-Year floating and/or fixed A$ paper this morning. Export Finance
Australia priced up A$650mn worth of 3.5 Year paper.
- Nothing in the way of notable reaction to local data releases.
- Bills unchanged to -2 through the reds.
