Novorossiisk Oil Loadings Suspended by Storm

Oil loadings from the Black Sea port of Novorossiisk in Russia have been suspended since Jan 14 due to a storm according to Reuters sources.

  • The loading plan from the port in January was for 1.8m tonnes of Urals, Siberian Light and KEBCO crudes.
  • Oil loadings in November and December were previously revised lower partly due to bad weather with planned loadings out of Russian western ports down 6% in December m/m at 1.9mbpd. Crude loadings from Novorossiisk in November were reduced by 1.2m tonnes out of a schedule of 2.34mn tonnes.
  • Severe storms in the Black Sea region have previously disrupted up to 2mbpd of oil exports from Kazakhstan and Russia.
