NZD/USD added 25 pips overnight and last.......>

KIWI
KIWI: NZD/USD added 25 pips overnight and last trades at $0.6864, as broader
yuan strength lent support to the kiwi, but pressured the greenback, although
yuan strength is now fading to a degree. NZD outperforms all of its G10 peers at
writing.
- After the pair jumped above Friday's YTD high of $0.6851, initial bullish
attention is drawn to the Dec 18 high of $0.6870 and a clean breach of that
level (overnight high was $0.6872) would bring the psychological $0.6900 level
into play. Conversely, bears look for a fall below the 50-DMA at $0.6794 before
attempting a run at the 200-DMA/21-DMA at $0.6767/64.
- NZ focus this week falls on NZ trade balance data due Tuesday, as well as
Chinese PMI data due later this week & Sino-U.S. trade talks (with the preamble
commencing today).
