KIWI: NZD/USD also fell on Thursday, on the back of the broader USD strength,
and last deals 5 pips or so softer on the session at ~$0.6780.
- Initial support is located at the July 24 low ($0.6769), with a break opening
up a move to the Bollinger band base ($0.6720). Hourly resistance is noted at
0.6795. The $0.6858-0.6921 resistance region where the 55-DMA ($0.6877) is
located remains key. Bulls now need a close above the July 09 high ($0.6858) to
gain breathing room.
- The NZD showed little reaction to the modest softening in the latest monthly
ANZ consumer confidence metric, with participants now looking to next week's NZ
labour market report.
