KIWI: NZD/USD last trades flat at $0.6769 after falling 22 pips Wednesday, as
AUD weakness spilled over into NZD. As a reminder, the Aussie was pressured by a
soft Australian Q4 GDP print and J.P. Morgan's decision to change its RBA rate
call to two 25bp rate cuts in July and August this year.
- The initial bearish attention is drawn to $0.6754/54, which represents the
lower 1.0% 10-DMA envelope/Wednesday's low. A breach of that level would allow
bears to set their sights on the 200-DMA at $0.6746. Conversely, bulls look to
the nearby 100-DMA at $0.6775, located ahead of the 50-DMA at $0.6798.
- NZ focus turns to NZ Q4 manufacturing data due tomorrow.
