*Aussie opened in Asia toward the lower side of the $0.7690 to $0.7784 range
witnessed yesterday, where weaker-than-expected local CPI data and softer ore
prices placed the Aussie on the defensive
*Dips under $0.77 cents were met by reported demand from domestic corporates,
the rate lifted from $0.7694 to $0.7717. Softer UST yields were supportive of
the move, however, weaker ore and steel futures provided a headwind
*Aussie then consolidated around $0.7710 for the balance of the session
*Support is being found near to the 200-dma, currently at $0.7694, while hourly
resistance is noted at $0.7738.
*RBA Deputy Governor Guy Debelle is set to deliver a speech from the University
of Sydney at 0750GMT, the title of the speech, 'uncertainty'.
