October IPCA Inflation Due At 1200GMT/0700ET

  • Consumer prices as measured by the IPCA index likely increased by 0.29% in Oct. on a monthly basis, according to economists surveyed by Bloomberg, compared to a 0.26% hike in prior reading. On a yearly comparison, the index will probably reach 4.87%. As a reminder, the latest central bank Focus survey of economists delivered little new information from the prior report on Monday, with year-end inflation forecasted at 4.63%. National statistics agency IBGE to disclose data at the top of the hour:
    • Oct. IBGE Inflation IPCA M/m, est. 0.29%, prior 0.26%
    • Oct. IBGE Inflation IPCA Y/y, est. 4.87%, prior 5.19%
