Off the lows

  • After being pulled lower on the gilt open, EGBs have now moved off their lows. Bund futures are now down around 50 ticks on the day, retracing almost half of their intraday move lower. Bund futures trading at 137.48 at writing, from a low of 136.92.
  • BTP futures have almost erased their early losses, trading just 5 ticks lower on the day at writing at 116.35, up from a low of 115.80.
  • 10-year BTP bund spreads are now 3.0bp tighter on the day, with Spanish/Portuguese spreads around 2bp tighter and GGB-Bund spreads around 4bp tighter.
