OIL PRODUCTS: India Diesel and Gasoline Sales Fall in First Half of July

India’s diesel and gasoline sales fell in the first 15 days of July compared to June levels, data from state-run Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum showed cited by Bloomberg

  • Indian diesel sales over July 1-15 fell by 15% on the month to 2.918m tons and were 1.5% lower on the year.
  • Gasoline sales fell by 6.1% on the month to 1.288m tons but were up 3.7% year on year.
  • Jet fuel sales fell by 3.9% m/m to 307k tons but were up 4.8% on the year.
  • LPG sales were however up 11.5% m/m to 1.361m tons and up 9.9% on the year.
