OIL PRODUCTS: Russia Boosts Refined Oil Exports in Early Oct

OIL PRODUCTS

Russian refined oil product exports climbed to a three-month high in early October as a surge in fuel oil shipments outpaced a drop in both diesel and naphtha flows, Bloomberg said.

  • Average seaborne fuel flows rose to around 2.16m b/d in Oct. 1-10, up around 24k b/d on the month and the highest since July.
  • While Russian fuel exports have been rising for the last three months, growth might be capped by the ongoing maintenance at domestic refineries.
  • Diesel and gasoil exports from Russia fell 2% on the month to 805k b/d Oct. 1-10.
  • Naphtha shipments fell 23% to 270k b/d, the lowest since Vortexa started collecting data in 2016.
  • Gasoline and blending component exports fell 7% to 78k b/d, while no jet fuel cargoes were observed.
  • Fuel oil flows rose 16% to 843k b/d, the highest since April.
