OPEC+ Crude Output Edged Higher in October: Argus

Crude oil production from 19 OPEC+ quota bound countries in October rose by 70kbpd to 36.27mbpd according to Argus estimates.

  • This was still 650kbpd under their collective quota.
  • Saudi Arabia once again delivered on its commitment to cut output by 1mbpd, which it has been doing since July, producing 8.97mbpd last month.
  • Iran’s crude oil production as estimated at 3.15mbpd in October, down from 3.2mbpd in September.
  • At the same time, crude oil exports from the Middle East – Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait and the UAE – rose by 670kbpd on the month in October, Vortexa data showed.
  • Russian crude exports also rose last month by 160kbpd to 4.69mbpd.
  • climbing by 160,000 b/d to 4.69mn b/d, as Moscow's decision to restrict motor fuel exports weighed on domestic refinery throughput.
