HUNGARY
Prime Minister Viktor Orban's right-wing populist Fidesz-KDNP retains a shrinking lead over the opposition United for Hungary (EM) alliance ahead of the 3 April general election. The two latest polls from Nézőpont and Real-PR 93 published on 28 March show Fidesz ahead by 5.2% and 8% respectively.

- Betting markets continue to see Orban as the most likely victor of the election, with Smarkets showing the incumbent with an 88.5% implied probability of remaining as PM on 1 July. EM lead candidat Peter Marki-Zay is given just a 9.1% implied probability of becoming PM by bettors.
