Parliament To Discuss Babis, CZGB Auction Due

  • The ruling coalition agreed to convene an emergency meeting of the Chamber of Deputies to discuss the actions of opposition leader Andrej Babis. Leaked emails suggested that Babis asked his aides to collect sensitive information about Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky, including information about his children, which Prime Minister Petr Fiala said compromised national security. Babis replied that the government should focus on running the country rather than dealing with "one private email."
  • The parliamentary budget committee will hold a meeting at CNB headquarters to discuss the central bank's most recent Monetary Policy Report from 13:00GMT/14:00CET.
  • The Finance Ministry sells bonds maturing in 2033 and 2043.
