PGNiG Agree 2.4bcm/yr Supply From Equinor

NATURAL GAS

Poland’s largest gas company, PGNiG has signed a gas agreement to purchase up to 2.4bcm/year of gas from Norway’s Equinor.

  • The deal will run for 10 years from 1st Jan 2023 to 1st Jan 2033 via the new Baltic Pipeline and based on European market terms.
  • PGNiG had already secured 4.5bcm/year of flows via the Baltic pipeline which has a capacity of 10bcm/yr.
  • The opening ceremony will be held on Sep 27 with partial commissioning in October. The Baltic pipe will gradually increase flows this year with full capacity available at the start of 2023.
