Plenty Of Local Asia Risk Events In The Wake Of The FOMC Decision

MARKET TALK

Core markets tight since the electronic re-open after Wednesday's post-FOMC gyrations.

  • There is plenty of regional risk events to look forward to during today's Asia-Pac session, with the latest monthly Australian labour market report and New Zealand's Q2 GDP print headlining the economic release slate.
  • On the central bank front we have the latest BoJ decision, which is expected to be a non-event (see our preview for more colour on the matter). Elsewhere, we will get the latest Bank Indonesia monetary policy decision, with the majority of those surveyed looking for the Bank to leave its 7-Day reverse repo rate unchanged at 4.00%, while only 2 of the 29 surveyed look for a 25bp cut to 3.75%.
