POWER: 1GW FR-GB ElecLink Extends Works Further to 2 December

Planned works at the 1GW Eleclink power cable between France and the UK have been extended to 2 Dec from 22 Nov, latest Remit data show.

  • The power link was originally expected back online on 16 Nov and was then pushed back to 19 Nov and then further delayed to 22 Nov. It was disconnected on 12 Oct.
  • No capacity is available in both directions.
  • However, the IFA2 interconnector between the two countries remains on track to return on 17 November after an unplanned outage.
