President Biden's Approval Rating Stabilises After Long Period Of Decline

The approval rating of US President Joe Biden has stabilised following a sustained period of decline.

  • According to FiveThirtyEight the President's approval currently sits a shade below 40%.
  • According to Morning Consult, Biden's Approval sits lower at 38%. This puts Biden at the same level, or above, his G7 and European colleagues: Japanese PM Fumio Kishisda (40%), Canadian PM Justin Trudeau (40%), Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez (35%), German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (33%), French President Emmanuel Macron (34%), UK PM Boris Johnson (27%), and Korean President Yoon Seok-youl (24%).
  • Morning Consult shows that perception that the US is moving in the right direction is also improving. According to Morning Consult, 26% of respondents believes the country is moving in the right direction. Up from 23% at the beginning of July.
