President Biden's Approval Rating Ticks Up Ahead Of "Bidenomics" Push

US

US President Joe Biden has seen his approval rating recover to levels he last saw in May before taking a hit during the standoff with Republicans over the federal debt ceiling.

  • According to RealClearPolitics, Biden's net approval is currently -11.1 up from a low of -14.5 on May 31.
  • A recent Economist/YouGov survey found that 47% of US voters had a favourable or somewhat favourable view of Biden, up from 43% earlier in June.
  • Biden kicked off a week of aggressive campaigning today designed to promote “Bidenomics,” and reverse negative voter sentiment on the Biden administration’s handling of the economy.
  • Senior Biden advisers Anita Dunn and Mike Donilon said in a memo: “In the weeks and months ahead, the President, members of his Cabinet, and senior Administration officials will continue fanning out across the country to take the case for Bidenomics and the President’s Investing in America agenda directly to the American people.”
