Property & Tech worry Halt Run Of Mainland Inflows Via HK-China Connect Links

MNI (London) - HK-China Stock Connect links generated ~CNY7.0bn of net outflows for mainland equities on Tuesday, ending a run of 7 consecutive days of net inflows.

  • This came as Chinese equity benchmarks struggled on continued Chinese property sector worry in the wake of headlines re: Evergrande’s alleged fraud and tech sector fear surrounding U.S. actions.
  • The Connect links have generated CNY20.2bn of net mainland inflow month-to-date and CNY66.4bn of net mainland inflow year-to-date.
