US TSYS SUMMARY: Providing fresh fuel to the bilateral trade dispute with China,
the US has levelled criminal charges against Huawei. This follows an extradition
request submitted on Monday for Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, who is currently free
on bail in Vancouver.
- The dollar has been broadly unch with DXY trading flat on the day and US TSYs
are rangebound. Current yield levels: 2-year 2.579%, 10-year 2.735%, 30-year
3.059%.
- The curve has steepened very slightly with 2s30s trading up to 47.8bps from a
low of 46.4bps.
- The Mar-19 UST note future trades at 121-17 in the middle of the day's range.
- Euro% futures trade mixed. Whites/reds are flat/0.5 ticks lower, blues 0.5
ticks higher.
- The Bureau of Economic Analysis has indicated that reports scheduled this week
will be delayed as a result of the recent government shutdown. This includes GDP
and International Trade data.
