The long end of the cash JGB curve saw some mild outperformance this morning, with swaps generally a touch wider across the curve, while futures faded further from their overnight highs, after the contract ran out of upward momentum just ahead of technical resistance during the overnight session. The contract hit the lunchbreak -3, 21 ticks off the overnight high.

  • In terms of local news flow, Japan's cabinet has decided to tap emergency budget reserves worth Y549bn, as the government looks to support supply chains & farmers, in addition to creating provisions for job subsidies.
