Putin to Hold Security Council Meeting April 5: Tass

RUSSIA

Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to hold a virtual meeting of the Russian Security Council on Wednesday, the Kremlin said in a statement as cited by Tass.

  • "The issues to be discussed will include the enforcement of law, order and public security on the territory of the Donets and Lugansk people’s republics, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The keynote speech will be delivered by Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev," the statement said.
  • Separately, on April 6, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will take part in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of Russia and Belarus, which will be held in Moscow. Putin and Lukashenko will meet prior to that on April 5 to discuss Belarusian-Russian relations.
