Q2 GDP growth was confirmed at +0.3% q/q, unchanged from the 
preliminary estimate. Services output in June was revised upwards by 
0.1pp to 0.4% m/m, for growth of 0.5% q/q on the quarter. Regarding the 
expenditure components of GDP, there was a slowing in both household 
spending and business investment. Spending came in at 0.1% q/q while 
business investment came in flat. The latter was the weakest outturn 
since Q4 2016 and follows concerns sounded by BOE Governor Mark Carney. 
Exports and imports were both up 0.7% q/q in Q2. GDP grew by 0.7% over 
the first six months of 2017, the slowest first half since 2012.
