EURO-DOLLAR: Rate hits the session's best levels and rises well through the
$1.0950 level as Reuters cites Handelsblatt as saying that the German government
are considering a stimulus programme in case the Coronavirus epidemic hits the
German economy hard. The report adds that the government are considering carious
scenarios and potential measures could be ready "in a few days".
- EUR rallies while Bunds were briefly sold (falling around 20 ticks before
recovering slightly).
- Would add to other fiscal stimulus packages announced today include programmes
from Malaysia and Japan, among others.
