-January's durable goods report is expected to show new orders dropping by -1.5%
following December's +2.4% rebound. New orders excluding transportation are
expected to rise +0.2%, bouncing up slightly from -0.1% in December.
-The halt in Boeing's 737 Max production, which went into effect January 21, was
a drag on US manufacturing as the company reported no new orders for January.
Earlier this month, the NY Fed said Boeing's 737 Max halt could drop Q1 GDP by
-0.4% or more, a "significant fall" given +2% average GDP growth.
