GERMANY: Reuters citing sources saying German Chancellor Merkel has told
lawmakers that liquidity and not 'classic stimulus' should be used to counter
the negative impact of coronavirus in the economy. Merkel also cited by Reuters
as saying that non-essential events should be cancelled. 
- European markets apparently seeing this stance as underwhelming in terms of
economic support, and are reacting in risk-off fashion, with Bunds hitting day's
highs and Eurostoxx touching session lows.
