Rosneft's Kuibyshev Refinery Loses a Primary Unit in Weekend Attack

Further on Kuibyshev: Rosneft’s Kuibyshev oil refinery in Russia's Samara halted its CDU-5, one of two primary refining units, following a drone attack over the weekend according to Reuters sources.

  • CDU-5 has production power of 9,500 metric tons per day (70,000 barrels per day), or around half the refinery's capacity.
  • Another primary oil refining unit, CDU-4, has production capacity of 10,500 tons per day. It's not immediately clear is the unit was working normally according to the sources.
