Russia GDP Grew at 5.0% Y/Y in October - Ministry

  • Russian GDP growth in October 2023 totalled 5.0% y/y following +5.6% in September, Russia's Ministry of Economic Development said in its review titled "On the Current Situation in the Economy," published on Wednesday. The ministry estimates the growth of the Russian economy at 3.2% for the period from January through October 2023.
  • Trade between Russia and China has practically reached $200 billion, the Russian Ambassador to China said as per Tass. "According to the results of ten months of this year, bilateral trade has reached $196.5 billion. I think that the goal of $200 billion set by our countries’ leaders is already achieved," he said at the 14th plenary meeting of the Russian-Chinese Committee on Friendship, Peace and Development.
  • Deputy Prime Minister Novak participates in the OPEC+ online meeting today while Foreign Minister Lavrov will attend the OSCE meeting of foreign ministers in North Macedonia. The COP28 climate summit starts in Dubai with a Russian delegation taking part.
