Russia's Novak Orders Kerosene Ban Study

Russian Deputy PM Novak has ordered its refiners to study a potential kerosene export ban after a meeting with producers October 16.

  • Novak also asked for a study on the potential for Russia to increase domestic kerosene production and for possible changes in taxation of the fuel according to Interfax.
  • Russian export bans taken more seriously after recent diesel/gasoline ban proved willingness to comply – if even for short period.
