Russian Domestic Diesel Flows to Fall In Oct Despite Ban

Russian domestic diesel supplies may decline next month, despite the government’s export ban, due to a lack of storage in the Russian oil-pipeline system, according to Mikhail Turukalov, an oil-products analyst.

  • The October plan of pipeline diesel supplies in Russia is seen at around 883k tons, compared with around 923k tons scheduled for September and 1.1m tons in August.
  • A decline in domestic supplies, together with a ban on diesel exports, would mean October diesel output will be lower.
