Russian Four-Week Average Seaborne Crude Shipments Rose

OIL

Russian four-week average seaborne shipments edged higher to 3.73mbpd as of 4 June, up from 3.68mbpd in the period to 28 May, failing to show signs that Russia cut its output by the pledged 500kbd, vessel tracking data monitored by Bloomberg showed.

  • Flows to international markets are more than 1.4mbpd higher than they were at the end of last year — more than can be accounted for by the diversion of pipeline flows or lower refinery runs. Shipments have also risen since February, the baseline month for the pledged production cut.
  • Shipments to India, China and Turkey accounted for 3.62mbpd during the latest four-week period ending 4 June.
