Russian Ministry Forecasts Export Dip

The Russian Economic Development Ministry projects a fall in Russian crude exports in the years ahead in its social and economic development report:

  • The ministry expects crude exports to fall to 228.3 mn tonnes in 2022 after 231 mn tonnes in 2021, and to 224.8 mn tonnes in 2023.
  • In 2024-2025 exports will grow to 228.1 mn tonnes and 229.5 mn tonnes, respectively.
  • Exports of natural gas will decline from 205.6 bn cubic meters in 2021 to 185 bn cubic meters in 2022 and to 155.3 bn cubic meters in 2025
