Russian Western Ports to Boost Urals Flows in September

Russia's oil exports from its western ports are expected to rise in September m/m according to Reuters sources.

  • Russian refiners are expected to start seasonal maintenance in September, boosting crude available for export. Maintenance schedules may be revised due to domestic fuel shortages.
  • Primorsk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiisk, the main outlets for Urals, will increase loadings to more than 2 mn bpd.
  • They were set at 1.95mn bpd in August.
  • Russian offline primary oil refining capacity was set to rise to 3.38 million tons in September, from 1.71 million tons in August according to Reuters.
