Russia’s Domestic Road Fuel Stocks Rise in March: MoE

Russia’s stocks of diesel and gasoline have risen in March, according to the Ministry of Energy.

  • Supplies of gasoline for the internal market have risen by 13k mt to 1.9m mt.
  • Diesel supplies are up to 15.5 mt to 3.4m mt.
  • Russian Deputy PM Alexander Novak has asked oil companies and refineries to utilise facilities.
  • Around 11% of Russia’s refining capacity has been idled due to Ukrainian drone attacks, putting pressure on products production.
  • Russia’s gasoline prices rose by around 12.2% in February, while fuel oil was up 28.4%, TASS said.
  • In order to stabilise the domestic market, Russia has banned exports of gasoline from March 1-August 31.
