Russia’s Yaroslavi Refinery Operating Normally after Drone Attack

The oil refinery in Russia’s city of Yaroslavi is operating normally following an attempted drone strike Jan. 19, according to regional governor Mikhail Yevrayev, cited by Nasdaq.

  • A drone attacked the Slavneft-YANOS refinery in Yaroslavl, Russia, the government of the region, Mikhail Yevrayev said via Telegram, cited by Bloomberg.
  • So far, there are no information on who attacked the refinery. However, Ukraine has launched several attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure in recent weeks,
  • Russia’s energy ministry has proposed a no-fly zone over Russia’s energy facilities according to Vedomosti, cited by Reuters, following several Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure this month.
