OIL

Saudi Arabia is not worried about oil prices as the Kingdom’s oil revenues surpassed 2023 projections, Saudi Arabia’s Finance Mohammed Minister Al-Jadaan told Bloomberg TV.

  • When asked about what Saudi Arabia will do about the price of oil, the minister answered: “I am not worried about that [oil prices] at all actually, in 2023 when we announced the projection of revenues it was on the back of a $100/bbl oil price and a projection of around 11mbpd. We ended the year with 20% less in price and17% in production but still our revenues came above what we projected. We are conservative in our projections.”
  • On the topic of tensions in the Middle East, the minister said: “We are also engaging heavily our diplomatic machine to make sure that we de-escalate in the region.”
