Seoul Accuses N. Korea Of Another Violation Of Their 2018 Military Accord

NORTH KOREA

North Korea fired around 250 artillery rounds into the East and West Sea buffer zones overnight, in breach of the 9/19 Military Agreement between the two Koreas, Seoul's military commanders said.

  • This came just four days after North Korea fired a total of 560 artillery shells into the maritime buffer zones, violating the 2018 military accord. It is presumed that last night's shelling was a response to South Korea's ongoing military exercises which started earlier this week.
  • North Korea had been expected to tone down its military activity during the Chinese Communist Party's congress. While there have been no missile fresh tests since the congress began on Sunday, North Korean military is not sitting idle.
