Serbia Extends Russian Gas Deal

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said over the weekend he had agreed a new three-year gas supply contract with Gazprom in a phone call with Putin.

  • Serbia had a ten-year gas supply contract with Gazprom that was set to expire on May 31.
  • Regarding the pricing structure of the deal, Vucic said "I can not speak about the price now, all details will be agreed with Gazprom,"
  • The discussion also involved the expansion of gas storage in Serbia.
