Serbian TSO Elektromreža Srbije signed a contract for the construction of a transmission line, part of the third section of the Trans-Balkan Corridor, with construction scheduled to start in April according to Balkan Green Energy News. 

  • The contract is for a two-system 400 kV transmission line from the Obrenovac substation to the Bajina Bašta substation that is expected to be completed in 2027.
  • The Trans-Balkan Corridor connects Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Italy.
