Spain Imports More Crude from Nigeria than US in June

Spain’s June crude import data showed a large increase in supply from Nigeria to overtake US and the main supplier according to Cores.

  • US supplies dipped in June but remained above the average for the year so far while imports from Nigeria were over 50% greater than the 2022 average.
  • Lower than normal imports were seen from Libya with nothing from Russia for a second month
  • Overall Spain imports rose by 27% y/y to 5.54m tons in June.
