Spks: EU Not 'Sulking' Over Brexit

Speaking at the Commission's daily press briefing, chief spokesman Eric Mamer says, in response to a question about whether the EU is 'sulking' over Brexit: "We never sulk. We don't have moods. We are an institution."

  • Question comes as tensions have escalated once again between Westminster and Brussels.
  • Yesterday Lord Frost, who is the UK co-chair of the EU-UK joint committee, said the EU should "shake off any remaining ill will" with regards to the UK leaving the bloc.
  • EU has threatened legal action against the UK for unilaterally extending grace periods regarding the export of food from GB to Northern Ireland.
