State Dep't Outlines Latest USD200mn Security Package For Ukraine

US

The US State Department has announced its latest package of security assistance for Ukraine, totalling USD200mn. A statement from Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says that the packed "is being executed from previously authorized Presidential Drawdown Authority," and "includes air defense munitions, artillery rounds, anti-armor capabilities, and additional mine-clearing equipment."

There is likely to be staunch opposition from the right-wing populist wing of the Republican party in the House of Representatives, with members having raised qualms with continued significant funding to Kyiv.
