Strikes At Total’s Sites Continue Albeit With Lower Participation

Industrial action at TotalEnergies’ sites in France continues on Tuesday with 24% of operators at its refineries joining strike action, the firm said.

  • This compares with 27% of workers joining strikes on Monday and 32% at the start of last week.
  • The CGT union on Monday said strikes at the Donges refinery have been renewed until 7 April. Latest reports stated operations at the Feyzin site remain reduced and operations at Gonfreville are halted.
  • The next nationwide strike in France is scheduled for 6 April, while Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne is due to meet labour union leaders on 5 April.
